In the vein of Wendy Carlos’ Switched On Bach record, these all-Resynator cover songs are meant to showcase the capabilities of the 1970s resurrected Resynator unit. Every sound aside from the vocals originated from the Resynator, with delay, reverb, compression, tuning and other effect-only modifications.
In 1994 Tom Petty’s Wildflowers album was released, which purposefully did not include any synthesizers or computers of any kind. In response to the re-release of that album, three all-synthesizer, and all-Resynator versions were created to pay tribute to both the work of Tom Petty & Don Tavel.
